Gidon wanted to show me where he spent years of his life - Kibbutz Zikim. We visited in the heat of the summer and at the height of the fires along the border with Gaza. Gidon is pictured, here, with firefighters on the kibbutz, taking a much-needed break! You'll have to read the book to find out more about the kibbutz and Gidon's life there but suffice to say it was an important part of his life!
